Policies & disclosures
Important information.
Please take a moment to read these. They explain how this website works, how your information is handled, and what this site is and isn’t. Using the site means you agree to them.
Effective June 2026
If this is an emergency, do not use this website.
This site is not a crisis or emergency service, and I cannot respond right away. If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or need urgent help, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
01
Website disclaimer
The information on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical or mental health advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional.
This website does not create a therapeutic relationship. Viewing this site, reading its content, or sending a message through it does not, by itself, establish a counselor-client or therapeutic relationship between you and McKaley Jackson or Telos Counseling. That relationship begins only after we have met, completed an intake, and signed a written agreement to work together.
This is not an emergency service. I am a solo private practitioner. This website, my phone, and my voicemail are not monitored for emergencies, and I cannot respond immediately. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please use the crisis resources at the top of this page (988 or 911) rather than waiting for a reply.
Every person and situation is unique. Outcomes from counseling vary from person to person, and nothing on this site should be read as a promise or guarantee of any particular result.
02
Privacy policy
Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains the limited information this website collects and how it is used.
Information you provide. When you use the contact form, you may share your name, email address, phone number, and a short message. I use this only to respond to you and, if we decide to move forward, to schedule a consultation.
How it is used and shared. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information. I will not share it with third parties except as needed to respond to you, or as required by law.
A note about security. Email and website forms are not fully secure or encrypted, and they should not be considered confidential. Please don’t share sensitive personal or health details through this website. Once we begin working together, I use a HIPAA-compliant system for clinical communication and records.
Your choices. You may ask me to update or delete information you’ve sent through this site at any time by emailing mckaley@teloscounseling.org.
This website does not sell your data to advertisers. If basic, anonymous analytics are ever used to understand site traffic, they do not collect identifying clinical information.

Good faith estimate (No Surprises Act)
Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of services if you are uninsured, or if you have insurance but choose not to use it (self-pay).
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including counseling. Sessions at Telos Counseling are $140 each. You may ask me for a Good Faith Estimate in writing before you schedule, or at any point during our work together.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute it. Be sure to keep a copy of your estimate.
For questions or more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
